Open a terminal(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), type the following and press enter: lshal -m
Then unplug,wait, and then insert the AC cord. Paste the results here.

Still in the Terminal, type CTRL-C. Then enter the following and press enter: sudo acpi_listen
Again, unplug AC,wait, and then insert the AC cord.Paste the results here.
