I have the nv5911e. I Purchased it in Mexico. I get the update from Mexico's gateway support page.

I selected:
Familia del Producto: Computadora Portatil
Linea del producto: NV Series
Modelo: NV59

Then the bios tab.

I downloaded the version of bios 1.22 and 1.26, but only 1.22 worked using freedos(I have no windows for running the windows version of bios upgrade).

I don't know if the bios upgrade is for all nv59 models worldwide or only for latinamerican or mexican models. There are a big warning about the risk of any BIOS upgrade procedure.

I noticed looking for bios at gateway international site o with serial number shows no results.
