Hi Jeremy...
I really do not know what I'm doing... !
I have the file in down loads...linux-headers-2.6.34-999-generic_2.6.34-999.201005041005_i386.deb.
and have the terminal eventually loaded with "sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-2.6.34-999-generic_2.6.34-999.201005041005_i386.deb" then enter etc...
Some of the terminology is a little confusing to me.... give me an electronic circuit and I can whizz around it..!!!
Anyway this what I have...
Terminal....
thelaidlaws3@thelaidlaws3-laptop:~$ linux-headers-2.6.34-999-generic_2.6.34-999.201005041005_i386.deb

I'm not sure how to point the process to the download files... I guess am going wrong somewhere...?
Sorry... I did say I need an "Idiots Guide"
Regards Dave
