One more thing about this: as I may have said, I am getting this problem mostly on my netbook, which also has a touchpad. As the keyboard is small, I actually have to hold my thumb up, so that I do not accidentaly "step" on the touchpad - which is otherwise sensitive to static electricity.
Well, I have recently noticed that sometimes I my thumb apparently gets tired, and starts resting on the touchpad. I haven't really tested this - but this (the thumb resting on the touchpad for a few seconds) seems to somehow freeze the mouse clicks also; so the last couple of freezes, I'd simply try to press the 'right-click' button on the touchpad, and I'd get the mouse clicks unfrozen as well ?!

Anyways, just thought I'd jot this down...
Cheers!
