there appears to be a problem in the repostitories:
I still have the 2.6.32-19-generic kernel installed, and cannot upgrade because I get this message in synaptic when trying to install linux-generic version 2.6.32.20.21 (which is also different from your kernel 2.6.32-20.29, or not?)

linux-generic:
  Depends: linux-image-generic (=2.6.32.20.21) but 2.6.32.19.20 is to be installed
