SD card mounted? Hmm, I have a 16GB card in the left slot of the AOA110 (Where it disappears completely). I unmounted and pulled the card, and restarted with cold boot. No programs started. Kernel is the mainline one, described above.

It did the trick. Almost:

Suspend:
Click on Suspend, after some 25sec of hard disk activity the computer is off (no fan, no backlight). Power switch LED is blinking slowly. Wake-up not from mouse-move or mouse-click, but from keypress. After 5sec screen saver came up, screen was locked, but login worked. WLAN was automatically reestablished.

Hibernate:
Click on Hibernate, some brief harddisk activity, then some 45sec later a terminal-message ("[ 337.752246] Freezing of tasks failed after 20.01 seconds (1 task refusing to freeze):" (nothing more) The the screen saver comes up and after login desktop is back. including WLAN.
Reclicking again on Hibernate, and some 20sec later the same terminal-message, yet some 10sec later computer is completely off. Restarting with power button, and computer went into locked screen saver, allowing login. So it was indeed hibernating.

So how can I find out which task prevents freezing, and how can this all be done with the sd-card inserted?
