Hello everybody!
I test issue on ubuntu 10.04 beta 2 with my HP mini 311. Looks like on that beta2, bug is fixed.
command: xinput --list, shows that ALPS touchpad detected. In GUI Mouse Configuration window, has third tab for touchpad settings.
Thanks a lot, who help to investigate and fix this bug.
