Right, I *have* now made the wifi work, but I had to build and install a newer driver from Realtek.

Version: rtl8192e_linux_2.6.0011.1029.2009

It uses the same firmware as above (same md5sums), but it creates a new module: r8192e_pci

This works with the card. Yay.
