Yes, I have exactly the same problem with my Acer Aspire 5715z and the
new Ubuntu 10.04. The fan is running properly in Windows and BIOS.

/sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp says 40 degrees which is not true at all.

Has anyone some suggestions?
