Ok guyz... this seems like one of those long hauls. In the meantime, I was thinking about rolling back some of the packages to Hardy. NM is probably not it, since i get the problem with command line WPA supplicant as well. Any suggestions? Or should I start the hit and trial method?

Apologies for coming out a little impatient, but I really need a stable network connection.
