Robbie for my experience bugs get not automagically fixed, I can't test on Maverick right now, but if there is a problem that nvidia module is not loaded then this bug will raise in Maverick too.

Maybe this should be fixed in the nvidia driver or maybe in kdm, this I don't know, but until someone does not start working on it then nothing will be fixed.
