apo, yours does indeed seem to be duplicate of mine. And the whole issue seems to be related to timing. My problems went(sofar) away after I installed some server software not usually found in a desktop like php/apahe/postgresql and mysql that made the boot before X longer for me. It may be possible that the nvidia kernel module is not properly loaded by the time X tries to start an fails.
