In reply to "missing required logs", there are no logs to be produced. The os does not boot or produces any logs to be seen, so I marked it as confirmed. Sorry for the long delay, I was checking this out as I am preparing to upgrade to Oneiric (11.10) (did not test the oneiric CD yet, though. That will require some downtime scheduling.)
