This bug happened on 8.10 and is still happening with 9.04. Here is what I get:
1 - Plug dmcrypt-encrypted USB external HD in (the whole /dev/sdb is encrypted, not a partition within)
2 - luks_crypto_69d35537-7865-4698-84c5-04283f517fbc appears in /dev/mapper
3 - "Encrypted data" volume appears in my Nautilus "Workplace" (Poste de travail in French)
4 - I double click on "Encrypted data"
Problem: I get a dialog saying
"Error org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume.Crypto.SetupError
/dev/sdb is already setup?"
Then about 10 seconds later, I get this message:
"DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken."
To get it mounted properly, I have to (manually) do:
sudo mount /dev/mapperluks_crypto_69d35537-7865-4698-84c5-04283f517fbc /media/blackvault
