I'm affected by the same issue. Don't make use of any fingerprint authentication, only old username/password pairs on GDM.
System: Ubuntu 10.10
dpkg -l | grep seahorse
ii libcryptui0 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 the UI library for DBUS functions exported by seahorse
ii seahorse 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 GNOME front end for GnuPG
Steps:
1.) Log in on GDM using username/password credentials;
2.) NetworkManager tries to authenticate against wifi router;
3.) Keyring unlock password is asked (although I checked to automatically unlock the keyring many times);
