This happened in Ubuntu 11.04 when performing the following after a LibreOffice crash at the Terminal:
cd /var/crash && apport-bug apport.0.crash
apport.0.crash was the only file in the /var/crash folder. What I did to work around it was type:
cd /var/crash && sudo apport-bug apport.0.crash
However, it prompted me to make a bug against the package apport regarding how it failed to install/upgrade, instead of how LibreOffice crashed.
