Same problem with an Acer K60I laptop. I tried to use "ubuntu-bug audio" but got this:
Please use the "report bug" feature, available in the menu of the application,
or use "ubuntu-bug <packagename>" to report a bug against the particular package.
There is no obvious application for this bug, and I already did ubuntu-bug <packagename> to get to this.
So how do I report this bug for the K60I?
David's deb did not solve the problem for me, nor did the addendum to alsa-base.conf.
