Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

If I press Ctrl+Z in the search edit field in Dash, instead of corresponding undo operations weird characters are inserted in the field.

Please refer to the attached screenshot for an example of those weird characters.

I'm changing the title and description of this report because the problems with cut, copy and paste are already reported (bug #737731, bug #737732 and bug #736222, respectively).

I didn't find a bug report to undo action, so I'm removing the other three problems from this bug report and leaving only the undo problem here.

redo (ctrl+y or ctrl+shift+z) should be taken into consideration as well

Sorry folks, but as part of the bug clean up ahead of 16.04 I'm marking this as invalid because it affects an Ubuntu release which is now unsupported. If you can still recreate this bug in a supported release please do open a new bug and we can triage it for consideration in the 16.04 development cycle.
