Bug Description

First off, this may be related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/gwibber/+bug/297233
I hesitated to post this but… here goes.

When I use Twidroid on my Android phone, I can load more items/messages/notices/whatever you want to call them when I reach the last item on the list.
I haven't found anyway of doing so in Gwibber.

If one has a steady stream of messages, they can drop off the list of displayed message quite quickly.
I tend to read messages in batch, to avoid interrupting whatever it is I'm doing each time someone posts something.
Without the ability to load more messages, I have to read my Twitter, Identi.ca and Facebook streams separately (rather than the “home” stream) or, if the messages are out of those streams too, go to the website to see what I missed.

A load more button would be very useful. :)

Cheers!

Yes, the button would be useful, but doing it automatically when scrolling to the bottom of the list would be extra awesome, and would keep the interface and translations simple.

There hasn't been any movement on this side for a long time.

I know that bug trackers are not the place to whine about software, but I find the fact that one can't load more message and is stuck with the latest fifty-ish messages really problematic.

This means one can't subscribe to too many people on social networks, or that one can't use too many accounts at once, otherwise messages just drop off the timeline before one has a chance of reading them, reducing the whole point of Gwibber in the first place.

Sorry I can't help more than by reporting it, if I could help with code believe me I would, as I'd love to see this fixed. :)

Thanks for all your hard work on Gwibber!
