Bug Description

I downloaded kubuntu 9.04 iso and placed in the same directory as wubi.exe. When I rebooted to try installing, it left me at a (initramfs) prompt. I am guessing it is because it could not find kubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso.

My analysis:
When wubi runs and finds an already downloaded copy of the iso, it instead creates a "Copy of kubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso" in ubuntu/install dir. The bootloader or initramfs is not able to find kubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso when it reboots and maybe that is why it hangs.

Edit:
There were 2 files in the same directory as wubi:
- Copy of kubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso
- kubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso

I guess it copied the Copy file and hence the install cold not complete. Maybe it has to do with spaces in the filename?

yes the white space in the ISO file name might create issues.
