Wubi/Wine Integration to allow improved transition for new users.

Bug Description

We are using WUBI to make it easier for Window's users to make the transition to Linux without making changes to their computer. The purpose is to allow Window's user to understand that Linux can offer the same level of functionality and power as other OSes. WINE has provided us with a powerful group of libraries that allow users to run many popular Window's programs.

I propose that WUBI should scan a Windows hard drive for common programs (i.e. Office, Photoshop, Games, etc.) and create a set of links on the Ubuntu desktop demonstrating the cross-functionality. WUBI should work with the Ubuntu to have WINE included with the next release.

As a side goal, WUBI could also suggest programs that may be suitable alternatives to those common Window's applications.

This should probably be a blueprint for the next Ubuntu release or Migration-Assistant. Wubi relies on Migration-Assistant to import Windows settings anyway. Or possibly a stand-alone packages that scans all devices for windows apps and libraries. If you do not mind, I will set this as invalid since it is not a bug and as mentioned I do not think it relates to Wubi directly.

It's a good idea to talk about at UDS, however it would be a lot of work. Most Windows apps will not function just by running their Windows-installed executable in Wine - you have to install them into Wine specifically. What this means is that we would either have to restrict ourselves to only portable applications (that don't use the registry) or write some very special scripts to scan the Windows registry and copy it's settings into Wine. This isn't really a Wine thing though - more a migration assistant feature.

Also I'll note that it'd be best if Wine supported system-wide installation of applications before we attempted something like this. Windows apps are generally installed system-wide, and currently the way Wine is we can only install separate copies of applications into individual home folders.
