So, after looking into this and discussing it with colleagues ad nauseum, I think this is the right approach:

- Wire the delete icon for root folders within the "Shared with Me" area to only perform delete_share.

- Subfolders will continue to operate normally. E.g. if you have delete permission on a folder, you can delete it.

The upside will be the same for users: "I want this folder out of my face."
