Bug Description
Hi
After a successful connection to U1, I tried creating a "Public" dir in my local "Ubuntu One" folder from nautilus, and it didn't appear on the web UI. I then ran "touch Ubuntu\ One/Public/foo" and it still didn't appear after a couple of minutes. Finally I did a "echo baz >Ubuntu\ One/bar" and didn't see any such file in the web UI.
What worked tough was to create files and dirs in the "My Files" dir. I had to refresh the web UI page to see them, but that worked.
It seems you're not supposed to fiddle with the toplevel hierarchy on the local side, and indeed I saw no mean of changing it in the web UI either, but it's a bit counter intuitive for me. Perhaps the client should alert that these aren't going to be synced when he sees such files? Perhaps the hierarchy should be directly below Ubuntu One/?
Bye

Not sure who can address this best. This is good usability feedback. We should handle this in some way (even if by keeping the user from creating directories under Ubuntu One by default) prior to beta.
