Translations not imported

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Xubuntu better. However, Xubuntu gets its translations from the translations portion of Launchpad (http://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/), where translation teams work on making Xubuntu more useful in their language. If you want to change a translation or help develop a translation in Ubuntu/Xubuntu there is the right place.

However, I should point out that the Xubuntu documentation has and is going through some heavy changes. I don't believe any translation work is being done on the Xubuntu documentation. Feel free to get involved in the Xubuntu documentation team (https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-doc) for more information.

Cody - I think you misunderstood the bug.

Translation templates exist for xubuntu-docs - https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/xubuntu-docs - and translators are working on them. The bug is that the translations haven't been imported into xubuntu-docs yet. I think that's valid - amending status accordingly.

Ah, ok. There appear to be un-imported translations on https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/xubuntu-docs/+imports. I don't yet know how to import them, but should be able to figure it out tonight.

Correction - one doc is in need of review, but others have been imported. I'll keep an eye on this page.

Jim - to import translations into the xubuntu-docs package (as opposed to importing them into Launchpad, which is what you seem to be describing in the previous two comments), see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam/Translation.

It's best only to do this at the deadline for translations (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NonLanguagePackTranslationDeadline - April 10th for Hardy).

Can anyone please state whether teh updated package works correctly and looks reasonable?

i've tested 8.04.2.1 from hardy-proposed, and haven't experienced any problems. thanks, martin, cody, & matthew.

Package now ships translations correctly.
