Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
My Lenovo x200s is connected to an external monitor (Acer AL2016W).
When I suspend by closing the lid on my laptop, I see the login screen on the monitor for second before it suspends.
Then after I resume (by opening the lid) the login screen is there on the external monitor and after I log in the laptop screen is not showing anything. I think the laptop screen is disabled.
When I open display properties it turns on the laptop screen.

I have very similar symptoms on a macbook2,1.
Bug 377598 makes it even more annoying -- have to alt-f2 and launch gnome-display- properties to get back to something I can see. And then the two screens have swapped around in layout.
