Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

as described here http://blogs.gnome.org/hughsie/2009/08/17/gnome-power-manager-and-blanking-removal-of-bodges/ xorg needs to be patched to allow gpm to effectively read idle info from xorg.

sometimes, the screen will blank while i am using my comp, and upon moving the mouse, the brightness is very low and a icon in the notification area has a tooltip that says "session active, not inhibited, screen idle. If you can see this text, your display server is broken and you should notify your distributor."

This could be a regression caused by the kernel so can you try to boot into an older kernel (if you have one present on your system) and see if that solves your problem. Thanks.
