The driver supports 3D acceleration and everything in your logs indicates that it is working fine. The game being slow is another issue.

The game was installed from http://www.oolite.org/download.shtml. It was installed using Autopackage.

Another program with problems.

Warzone 2100.

3D objects blink. It's like the system is unable to redraw everything.

3d support is there, just that the performance was not that great. It'll improve when the DRI driver matures.
