Complex Words can not be written in Bangladesh Probhat (Bengali) keyboard layout

Sorry not sure how to report this problem/bug. This is actually a problem for the Bengali Keyboard Layout (Bangladesh Probhat keyboard). So those who don't have knowledge about Bengali language will have difficulty understanding the nature of the problem.

There are few complex words in Bengali that we call "Juktakkhor (যুক্তাক্ষর)" (that is we write two words in a single go. like ক্ত (k+t) or S+t= ষ্ট r+z=র্য . To write these complex words ("juktakkhor") in Probhat layout we tap "/" once (to join the words) like s +/ +t =স্ট (st).

but in Intrepid the key "/" got omitted (or broken) somehow, thus I can not write any complex ("Juktakkhor" যুক্তাক্ষর) words. The whole last word just gets omitted like If I write s+/+t I only get s (t is not shown).

I am not sure whether I am able to make you understand the problem. It will be better if any Bengali speaking developers look into it.

Bellow I am writing the nature of the problem in Bengali too so that Bengali speaking developers understands the problem.
সমস্যাটা হচ্ছে যে ইন্ট্রাপিড আইবেক্সে যুক্তাক্ষর লেখা যাচ্ছে না। "ক্স (ক+্+স)" লিখতে গেলে আসে কেবল "ক" । আবার র-ফলা য-ফলার ক্ষেত্রেও একই কাজ হচ্ছে। মনে হচ্ছে " ্ " (/) কোন ভাবে বাদ পরেছে।

Note: I am running Kubuntu 8.04.1 and Intrepid Ibex Beta in VirtualBox. I have not faced this problem (bug) in Hardy or any other previous package. This problem (bug) is of High priority (if not critical) since without these complex words (juktakkhor") we can not write two lines in Bengali.
