Confirming bug, apport report submitted.

In my case CPU scaling support is probably missing, plugin notified of this and then crashed.

Apporti In Intrepid gave this error in 'free()'. Though, according to my panel, the plugin seems to be working OK, it must have been restarted automatically.

Upgraded my Xubuntu from Hardy(Proposed) to Intrepid(Proposed) yesterday(22.Oct.2008) evening, Apport reported the symptom today. Apport.log since upgrade attached.

Proposed patch

The signature of the 'free' plugin function doesn't match the usual ones (one parameter missing). If I fix it, I can't reproduce the crash anymore.

mpfh, I put the wrong bug number in the changelog... Should be fixed with xfce4-cpufreq-plugin 0.2-2ubuntu1 in lucid.
