In the wine config you need to change Audio / Acceleration from "Full" to "Emulation".

Sorry for commentary #1. This commentary intended for other bug-report.

Still issue with wine1.2 in Maverick.

 I can not test wthis bug with wine1.3 from this ppa, bacuse this ppa not have maverick builds.
