Bug Description

Binary package hint: wine

If the user has no ~/.wine directory, and they run Wine somehow (eg double clicking an exe or msi file), Wine is supposed to setup the folder for them. Sometimes this process fails, and it looks like nothing happened. Or, sometimes the process just takes a long while, so the user clicks again and again, and then things start to break.

We need to show some kind of first run "Please wait while Wine sets up your virtual Windows drive" message on first run.

The process should never fail, nor should it break if wine is started again while the directory is being created.

Is this still an issue, especially given that wineprefixcreate is deprecated?
