Bug Description

Binary package hint: usb-creator

It would be nice if I could use usb-creator to also create bootable SD cards. It doesn't detect my SD card inserted into the memory card slot built into my laptop. Attached is output from hal-device.

Looks like the storage.removable check needs to be weakened for this as well as checking a different storage.bus. See http://groups.google.com/group/fa.linux.kernel/browse_thread/thread/be696fb615c95ddf (found by Johan Brannlund).

SD/MMC storage that is attached via USB is generally bootable, in the same manner which USB flash drives are bootable. SD/MMC storage attached by PCI / PCIe / PCMCIA / CardBus is generally not bootable. Please fix to allow creation of a startup disk onto SD/MMC media that is attached via USB.
