Trying to do maverick alpha 2 laptop testing see:

see this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/603445 . I also have an e6510 and the proposed patches work perfectly.
Patches can be found here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=596475 . There are no diffs for the current kernel so you have to apply them manually. If you don't want to compile your kernel yourself you'll have to wait until these changes make it to the official Ubuntu kernels.

at the moment testing with natty alph3
card reader is working now
will close this bug
