Bug Description

I was testing Maverick Meerkat alpha2 on my Packard Bell Dot M but it failed the following test case:

Live Session Finish Case ID: dls-002

   1. Click on ubuntu top right
   2. Select Shut down... from the drop down list
   3. Ensure you get a dialog confirming the shutdown, select Shut Down from it
   4. Remove install media and press Enter

I followed the instructions reported above, but the netbook didn't shut down and I had to force it manually.

This is likely a kernel issue, especially if it happens on an installed system, so I am assigning the bug to the linux package.
