Hebrew translation of the Ubuntu welcome page translates the name of all latest distros as Dapper

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, Ubuntu gets its translations from the translations portion of Launchpad ( http://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/), where translation teams work on making Ubuntu more useful in their language. If you want to change a translation in Ubuntu there is the right place.

mcas - actually, that's not true about the firefox startpage. This bug is in the right place.

I don't know if this is the right place, but I'd like to report a broken link in the same welcome page.
The link for the translated Hebrew version of the "Ubuntu's community participation page" ("דף ההשתתפות הקהילתית של אובונטו") is broken.

By the way, this error is both at the local page mentioned in the bug report, and also at the Hebrew version of http://start.ubuntu.com/8.04/

I am not a translator, but my research shows that you need to be a member of https://translations.launchpad.net/+groups/ubuntu-translators (You don't need to join a team to translate Ubuntu, only to improve already existing translations). Then you can download "ubuntu-docs" and make the corrections. [2]

From the documentation team pages [3], Ubuntu documentation uses Rosetta as a translation portal, as with the rest of Ubuntu. For explanations of how to use Rosetta, see the Rosetta page [6].

The documentation can be found in the following packages: ubuntu-docs, kubuntu-docs, edubuntu-docs and xubuntu-docs.

Outside of that, I think you can look at [7] and find the right documents.

i think i found the problem, it's in "ubuntu-docs/ubuntu/browser-startpage".
since i didn't find where to translate it using launchpad i made a patch fixing it on ubuntu-docs 8.04 source.

Mark: I think that the release name is unnecessary. The English start page includes only the release number (i.e 8.04).

Thanks for fixing this in the local file. Could this update be put on http://start.ubuntu.com/8.10/ too? It currently still shows the old translation.
