Could I trouble you to add 'set -x' to the second line of /usr/lib/ubiquity/migration-assistant/ma-ask and /usr/share/migration-assistant/ma-script-utils and run the installer again, then attach new logs using `apport-collect 536673`?

Thanks a lot and sorry for the run-around. From the logs this appears to be quite a spectacular domino effect.
