Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
RELEASE: Intrepid
CD/DVD VARIANT: Ubuntu 32 bit desktop cd
ISO BUILD: 20080903
When creating a new partition under manual partitioning, the suggested size is the size of the previously entered partition. On a 10GB vmware disk partition, the steps were:
1) created a new 6000MB first partition for /
2) selected available space and then create new partition
* partitioner suggested new partition size of 6000MB (2GB too large)
3) modified new partition to be 1000MB and used as swap
4) selected available space and then create new partition
* partitioner suggested new partition size of 1000MB (out of ~3GB remaining)
The partitioner did not behave this way in 8.04. Also, there was no obvious way to tell the partitioner to use all remaining space available, other than entering in a number equal to or larger than the remaining available space.

ISO build 20080903 - i386
Manual Partition selected; previous 8.10 A4 partition selected for edit - partitioner shows 0 for size but changes to already used size when window was moved on screen. Required size (all) entered but figures changed by 100 whilst entering file type (ext3) - had to be changed again and was then OK. This happened on 4 install attempts and also happened using daily build 20080904 - i386
