Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I select and click on London on the map, and then move my pointer down to the Forward button to continue. As I move, the map starts scrolling. After my pointer has moved beyond the borders of the map, it continues to scroll until it reaches the edge, even if I stop moving the mouse.

I have also experienced this problem when selecting "Perth / Western Australia" during a recent installation of Ubuntu 8.10 Alpha 4. Granted, the effect is less extreme given that I am in the Southern hemisphere ;)

ubiquity (1.10.6) intrepid; urgency=low

  [ Evan Dandrea ]
  * Fix a crash in segmented_bar by providing the expected integer type
    (LP: #280900).
  * Stop scrolling the timezone map once the mouse is outside its
    boundaries (LP: #251231).
  * Iterate through a list of nearby timezones on click, rather than
    selecting the absolute closest timezone to the pointer.

  [ Colin Watson ]
  * Fix translation of Quit button (LP: #277451).
  * Automatic update of included source packages: grub-installer
    1.32ubuntu9, hw-detect 1.63ubuntu4, partman-base 121ubuntu8.
  * Update translations from Launchpad.

---------------
oem-config (1.52) intrepid; urgency=low

  [ Colin Watson ]
  * Reset debian-installer/country if the language is changed, as otherwise
    we can end up defaulting to an inappropriate country for the language.
  * Stop defaulting to the timezone from /etc/timezone or /etc/localtime, as
    this has a nasty habit of overriding the usual defaults for countries
    with multiple timezone choices (LP: #283861).
  * Update translations from Launchpad.
  * Automatic update of included source packages: user-setup 1.20ubuntu10.

  [ Evan Dandrea ]
  * Pull timezone map changes from ubiquity:
    - Iterate through a list of nearby timezones on click, rather than
      selecting the absolute closest timezone to the pointer.
    - Stop scrolling the timezone map once the mouse is outside its
      boundaries (LP: #251231).
