GUI useability might benefit from a horizontal design rather than vertical

Bug Description

I think it might be worth considering relocating the change log window to the right of the update list, rather than below it.
I mean, when I unfold the change log window, the update list is tiny, I can barely see two updates at the same time, it's not very practical I find, and the change log window too, is very small. This is a problem because I find I ALWAYS display the change log, otherwise how an I make an informed decision on what to update or not ?
So I thought it would be more confortable/usable, if the change log window/area was put on the right/next to the update list. This way both windows are large enough to be confortable reading and scrolling. The change log window could for example be opened like the playlist in Totem, with a button ?

I don't know... I think it's much better at the bottom. Text tends to expand outwards, and I think it would be long and awkward if it were on the right.

Long lines are more difficult to read because the farther your eyes have to travel horizontally, the less likely you are to hit the right line vertically when you try to start reading the next line. A vertical design also lets you avoid scrolling so much because more lines are visible at a time. I like this idea.

I would say this is, then, triaged, as a wishlist.
