Bug Description
*** This bug is currently masked by bug 605055 (results flickering for any search) and bug 835069 (custom lists not working). ***
Ubuntu Software Center 2.1.18, Ubuntu Maverick
1. From the top level "Get Software" screen, in the search field enter "gobby,
2. Add a comma: "gobby,
What happens: The list contents remain exactly the same, but the whole pane flickers -- both the three items, and the "Install 1 Item" bar at the bottom.
What should happen: Neither the items nor the action bar should flicker.

I see the same flickering when updating the search string. (Ubuntu Natty alpha 1)
It looks like it clears the previous search result, before loading the result of the current search result, and in between the list is blank which creates the flickering.
