Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-center

Galcian translation (gl_ES) of software-center has a mistake on app name.

The name appears as "Centro de software deUbuntu" where the correct is "Centro de control de Ubuntu"... note the space between "de" and "Ubuntu".

Yesterday the package was updated but the same string continues there. I saw at launchpad translations and the string is fixed, I understand that tomorrow is the final day to commit translations but I'm a bit worried about if this will be fixed and included at the final release.

You can see the string on Launchpad on https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+source/software-center/+pots/software-center/gl/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=Centro+de+software+de

Yes, please, fix it . It would be great if it were solved ASAP... if it could be done to appear fixed in this release, that would be frankly apreciated.

Francisco,

Thanks for your report.

Please note that being a member of the Galician translation team, you can fix the string yourself, and the fix will appear in the next language pack updates, independently of the application.

I see that you already fixed this on the 17th. Unfortunately, the last language pack was released on the 16th (one day before), so your fix did not make it for that release. Tomorrow (the 22nd) is the language pack translation deadline, after which we will be releasing new language packs.

Please check if the translation has been corrected when you get the next language pack update and report back. Note that you will have to log out and back in after the upgrade to see the changes in translations.

There was upgrades on language packs and I have looked at the mofile with msgunfmt. The good new is that there the bugs are fixed but my interface still shows the previous strings.
I have rebooted my system and test creating a new user... but the problem is there.

Francisco, do you still have the problem? IIRC, this was an issue in your particular installation and did not affect other Galician user. If that is the case, do you think we could close the bug?

Thanks!
