Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

In Rhythmbox the panel on the left has little [+] and [-] icons to expand and collapse the tree of library, stores and playlist. The icon is at the right end of each top level of the tree. In other applications such as nautilus and F-spot (the only two others I tried) the icon is on the left end of the text. This seems inconsistent to me. See screenshot.

Hi, thanks for reporting this bug and making Ubuntu better. I don't see a +/- sign in rhythmbox, I see a triangle. Screenshot attached.

I have tested again with a fresh (7 hours old) i386 and AMD64 ISO and they both exhibit this behaviour.

Thanks for reporting this bug and supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work and I can reproduce it in latest iso, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let the devs handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

Thanks for the report popey, that depends on the theme you're using there and it's probably not a rhythmbox issue, which theme are you currently using? could you change it and test again, use for example the clearlooks one.

This was on a live cd, so I fail to see how it can be a theme selection issue. Indeed if it is then it's a bug in the Ubuntu default theme, not anything I've done post-install.

Tracked the issue down, this is a design decision and not a bug, empathy behaves the same way, if you disagree with the design please file a new bug in bugzilla.gnome.org, this was not an Ubuntu change.
