Songs with accented characters or apostrophes in the name don't download

On the downloads page there is a delay before the music starts downloading. The current implementation gives the user no indication that something is happening and because it takes about a minute to start actually downloading the user can be forgiven for thinking that something is broken.

Suggested solution would be to replace the grey progress bars with the word 'queued' and adding an animation.

Will try and get a mockup uploaded asap.

I also have this issue with songs that have Accented Characters as well.

they doesnt download, no clue why, other tunes with "ain't" or "it's" downloaded

anyway download already needed 3 days ("transfering to your ubuntuone storage"), that is really unacceptable for a music download shop :) but thats another story :)

The status of my download has now changed "Queued" to.....

"You have reached the download limit for this song.
Please purchase it again from the store"

Still no resolution of my stuck downloads.
Ordered on 11 apr, still not delivered 16 apr 07:37 BST.

Same problem here, waiting for "Garbage - I Think I'm Paranoid" to download for days.

In my case I had this problem with "Primer movimiento: El sueño" by Extremoduro. However now I notice that while the "My downloads" page in the music store seems stuck at "0MB downloaded", the file has been correctly downloaded to Ubuntu One and synchronized to both my computers.

Problem with "Halovo Vodítko" from Tata Bojs (note accented i). "Nemocna", which skips accented characters, can be purchased. The whole album (Nanoalbum in thisi case) downloads as well.

Same with Santanas Maria, Maria.
Here is an & in the artist name.

One of my bought songs with the umlaut 'ü' is in "My Downloads" in Rhythmbox stuck with status "Transferring to your Ubuntu One storage", but it was transferred to my local storage, though. When will this confusing status in Rhythmbox be fixed? I guess many people complain about UbuntuOne music not handing them over their bought music due to this erroneous status message in Rhythmbox.

Stuart, you closed the upstream task but what is the status of this bug in lucid and maverick versions?

I can confirm what Andre reported. Songs with the special characters "ö" and "ä" are stuck in the state "Transferring to your Ubuntu One storage", all other songs without such special characters worked well. All of the songs seem to be downloaded to disk.
