Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox-
There are only a few region as described in the Ubuntu One Music Store FAQ:
- UK
- USA
- Germany
- Rest of the EU (i.e. not UK and Germany)
- Rest of the World (i.e. none of the above listed countries)
But if I visit the 7digital store directly I have the choice to select between
Belgium, Canada, Germany, Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy,
Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden, USA and UK
(look at the attached screenshot or on the footer of http://
I am from Austria and it's not possible to download the free songs I find on the 7digital Austrian store:
(look at the attached screenshot)
I don't understand why you limit the full access to the store only to UK, USA and Germany when the full access is possible through the 7digital.com website/store for other countries too.
So for me the "ubuntuone music store" is useless and I will purchase the songs directly from at.7digital.com until this issue is fixed.

Bernd - I understand it can be a little confusing. 7digital has invested and received music label approval to built more country-specific stores for their retail websites (at 7digital.com). This does not mean that their partners (like us) automatically get approval for our retail stores.
So far, we have only invested and received music label approval for 5 region stores. After the 10.04 release, we review the usage of the EU and World stores and decide where to build more country-specific region stores.
I hope this answers your question. I'm going to mark this bug as invalid, but that has not indication of the quality or importance of this question ;) Please feel free to ping me in IRC if you have any additional questions. Thanks!
