Bug Description

Binary package hint: qarecord

A new version of QARecord was released the other day, and I've been working on packaging it. The new version is available at:

If we could get this version in Karmic, it would be great! If we can't, it would be acceptable ;-)

Reasons for allowing it into Karmic:

1) It contains new useful features, such as multi-channel recording, wave-file splitting, and a qt4 interface.
For details see the attached NEWS file.

2) Nothing depends on QARecord so it won't break anything else.

3) I will personally take some responsibility and fix upcoming bugs, if any are reported. I'm involved upstream, so I've tested it a lot. The few bugs I found was nothing serious but nonetheless they are fixed in this package (see debian/patches directory).

when writing a changelog you should document every change you made on the package and therefore if any of your changes fixes a bug, you have to specify the bug ID to be closed with this syntax: (LP: #xxxxxx), so if your package fixes two bugs, both of them should be listed.

Package has now been updated (edited changelog) so that both #422182 (this bug) and #32957 (missing man page) will be closed when this package is uploaded by a kind universe sponsor. :-)

I've uploaded your update. I renamed it to qarecord_0.5.0-0ubuntu1 as it is not in Debian. I also added the homepage field to the control file.
