Bug Description

Binary package hint: python-qt4

When installing KDE4.1 by adding the repository http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu, a new version of python-qt4 is installed.

This version breaks python-qwt5-qt4 from the official hardy repository. For example, a "pen()" method returns a QPolygonF instead of a QPen.

After uninstalling python-qt4, removing the kde4 repository and installing python-qt4 again everything works as expected.

Confirmed on amd64. Same behavior, up to the point where none of the python-qwt5-doc qt4examples work at all.

Kubuntu 8.04 and its related official KDE PPAs are pretty much out of support now, meaning that this won't be fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience!
