Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

The attached PDF file is displayed incorrectly in evince but correctly in Adobe Reader. Evince version is 2.22.2, Ubuntu Hardy.

it doesnt look fine here either with jaunty, but that's more like a poppler issue, reassigning , thanks.

Supposedly this is the same bug as freedesktoop bug 16906 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16906 (also originally reported through launchpad) although it certainly doesn't look like it.

Pedro - are you able to compile from git and test? I lack the knowledge and experience to do so.

Yeah, bug #252552 is the bug that the fdo bug I mentioned is based on. I looks like a completely different symptom to me, but you have a lot more knowledge and experience than I do, so I'll trust you. What would be great is if you are able to compile from git and test.

Wish I could do that, might do some research on it on the weekend if other things pan out OK thus leaving some spare time.

I've just updated Lucid Lynx 10.04 alpha 2 to poppler - 0.12.3-0ubuntu1. I can confirm that the attached PDF file now displays correctly.
