it indeed looks quite similar, behavior is the same, it doesn't render well with transparent gradients, will comment upstream as well, thanks all.

The gradient issue is fixed but there is other bugs there and upstream asked for somebody to open a new bug

Verified with newest evince: 3.31.90-1 and the bug doesn't exit any more.
