Please merge pidgin 2.3.1-2 (main) from Debian unstable

Sébastien: can you take a look at this one?

The update has some issues

- the transitional package described in the changelog is not build
- the prefs.xml ubuntu changes are not there
- the control transition version have still no epoch numbers

could you do the corresponding changes and update the bug?

The preinst don't use the epoch number which is wrong, otherwise the upload seems correct now, could you do this change?

      and let apport handle it.
    - Add patch 05_default_to_irc_ubuntu_com to set the default IRC
      server to irc.ubuntu.com.
    - Add autoconf patch, 70_autoconf.
