Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org2-impress

This attachment is an example of a file that cuts off the top of the text in vertical text boxes. It occurs when printing to my real laser printer and to a virtual pdf CUPS printer (see following .pdf attachment).

Using Ubuntu 8.04
Impress version 1:2.4.0-3ubuntu1

Taylor Braun-Jones, this issue is unreproducible in LibreOffice Impress via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget -c https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/212031/+attachment/255883/+files/Duplex%20printing%20guide%20for%20Brother%20DCP-7020.odp -O info.odp && loimpress -nologo info.odp

Export to PDF and open in Adobe Reader, looks the same. Does this work for you? If using Lucid or Maverick feel free to perform at the Terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade && sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-impress

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. This Ubuntu release has reached EOL for Desktops.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Since this bug hasn't been touched in a while and the Incomplete autoclose didn't work, I'm going to close it.

If you can still reproduce on a new version of Ubuntu, please reopen it.
